A couple photos from Wednesday, April 28th, 2004, the day I took delivery of my '05 model BMW R1200GS from Mac's Cycle, in Clarkston, WA. It had just 2.9 miles on the odometer. I don't care for the blue, so it may not remain this color for long. [in fact, it didn't -- it's now green] Unfortunately, it rained for the first 20 minutes or so that I rode it so it got pretty dirty by the time I arrived home, 150 miles later.

Talking to Bill, an old friend who I was surprised and pleased to learn was the mechanic who set up my new R1200GS! I set up an appointment for the 600 mile break-in service in 2 days and arranged for Bill to be the one to perform it. Carl shot the photo with my Minolta Dimage Xt.

I rode home along the Snake River (this shot should be familiar to the old Chase the Snake folks). That's a paddle-wheel boat (The Empress of the North) heading downstream in the distance.

Sometimes you get lucky, even with a tiny 3 megapixel point-and-shoot! Of course massaging it with PaintShop Pro a bit helps...
