Default What is breaker in german? Where can I find one?

Hi folks,
my german is a little rusty as I havent spoken it for 15 odd years - can someone tell me what a 'breaker' is called in german (i.e someone who buys used, damaged cars and bikes, takes them apart and sells them for spares)?

Any recommendations for a good site, to search for BMW R1200GS breakers in germany?

Kind regards
Soren

Default "Breaker" I think you mean a junkyard ?

Hi Soren,

Having lived for almost 43 years near Germany in the Netherlands ( we just moved to Florida 1 year ago ) I speak quite well Deutsch.
I think you mean a motorcycle junkyard ? the most used German word for these places is: "Schrottplatz" I know it doesn't sound very good but at least you can buy used parts there.
BTW these guys also sell parts: http://www.motor-onderdelen.eu/

Good luck,

Herman
