Default Just arrived! New skid plate for the BMW R 1200 GS

These just came out of production, and arrived today!

Our skid plate for the BMW R 1200 GS is made of sturdy 4.75 mm anodized aluminum, and comes in both black and silver. The corrugated design you see multiplies its strength and allows it to tightly conform to the underside of the bike.

We love how the 1 3/8” tooling yielded an awesome rounded flange that mirrors the header pipes.

Your vulnerable header pipes get substantial coverage, and when the front wheel spits back rocks and dirt, the skid plate also protects your headers and cross pipe.

Pretty! The anodized black should hide road grime well.

Marc,

Awesome. We are super stoked about the anodizing as well, and we love the electro-etched badge on the side. We're going to try to get some pictures of it installed up shortly.

Paul just got back from taking some pictures of the skid plate installed on the bike, and I wanted to give you a peek.

I wonder if it will fit on an '05 RT?

Default Skid plate

Put one on my 2011 1200gs a couple months ago, super quality product makes the BMW stock one look like tin foil

Had it now for a few months and I am not happy with it at all. When you lean to the right on a tight curve the plate hits the ground breaking the bolts. This does not happen when leaning left. I measured the two sides and there is a significant different in the distant between the plate and the engine. I have not been able to get any answers from them.

That doesn't sound good.
