Default You can protect against rocks or bullets with the right headlight guard

Take a look at what’s we’re coming out with this month for the BMW R 1200 GS.

This is our Stainless Steel Headlight Guard.

The woven steel mesh protects your headlight, and is designed to fight tightly with the included AltRider Glare Guard. It’s held in place by sturdy arms that bolt into the motorcyle’s front subframe using OEM hardware, and the stainless steel arms are secured by the blinker stocks. This design prevents the lens from shifting or swiveling.

Those Dzus fasteners release the face with a counter-clockwise quarter turn, allowing you to effectively clean your headlight without needing tools, which is a great feature when making a quick stop at the gas station. It also means that you can easily swap out the steel mesh face for the bullet-proof Lexan face.

The AltRider Lexan Headlight Guard is available separately, but also fits and comes with an AltRider Glare Guard.

You can also read our blog post about designing our first plastic part – the AltRider Glare Guard – here.

Yep! But if you're worried about reduced light with the stainless steel mesh guard, you might check out the Lexan headlight guard.
