Default aux fuel

Fudmucker

My bike is a 08, the pump plate is on left top front lobe of the tank. I think, from 05 to 07 the pump plate is low on the right side. But if you look close at the photo, the cargo plate I mounted it to sits about 1 1/2 inches above the plastic of the bike. I had to do this to make room for the backrest mount for the wife, that I leave mounted on the plastic BMW cargo rack on the back.. With that said, believe it or not! This tank gravity flows the whole 4.5 gallons to the main tank! I went from 165-175 miles until the reserve lite came on at about 40 miles. WAIT! WAIT! To 360 miles until the reserve lite at 40 miles. The 16 by 24 inch cargo deck has about 3 inch lip around the sides and end so mounting a top box or something shouldn't be a problem. It goes on and off just like the rear seat, the only thing different is you need to open the quick-disconnect on the fuel line. I'm going to make a couple, and hit a few rallies. If everthing I read is true, alot of guys are very unhappy with the miles per tank. I know, I was VERY UNHAPPY about it!
