Default Caught a cab....

I was taken out spectacularly by a taxi in London last week, he decided he wanted my lane but missed the fact that I was in it at the time. The GS took it well, considering I suffered a few bumps and bruises and a broken toe for my troubles.

Ouch. Broken toes can be a pain since there is often not much that can be done other than taping it to other toes for support. Or has medical science improved in that area in the last 35 years?

The pictured bike damage doesn't look all that bad. Is that the worst of it?

I'm afraid medical science is very much in the dark ages on the broken toe front. Put up with it, it'll heal eventually . The bike suffered a few other scuffs, namely a broken indicator (already repaired to keep the local constabulary happy), a damaged handguard, a scuffed side panel, a scuffed mirror and one or two other very minor grazes. Overall I'm quite happy with the general robustness of the GS. It's what you'd expect from a bike that's designed to take on the world. The engine bars are definitely on my shopping list in the very near future
