Default All the time ........

Bit of a giggle really cos I don't crash on the road anymore ....... well I try not to anyway.

I circuit race my R1 and R6 .... and have raced for more years than I want to remember ....... which means nothing other than the fact I tend to see things that most riders miss .......
Im talking about cracks in the tarmac, shiny marks .... sand, bumps ... all that kind of stuff ....... and probably most relevant, I get no pleasure anymore about riding fast on the road ...... going round a corner at 70 mph trying to get your knee down in traffic just isn't the same as trying not to get your knee down at 140 mph .....

I have about 1 major wreck a year on track and a handful of minor spills ..... which has over the years resulted in an "oh shit here we go relaxed reaction" instead of the usual OMG tensed up thing ..... which helps.

Not trying to sound smug here, just showing how tracktime and trackdays for instance make road riding so much better .......

Just bought the 1200GS adventure ...... about to leave the house for a trip from scotland to Trondheim in Norway ..... its minus 10 deg C at the mo ..... and Im well up for it.
