Default A quieter and warmer Arai XD

I know that it's getting into the wrong time of year to do this mod but who knows we might have another cold snap yet before Summer. Cast not a cloot and all that....

I used to use an Oxford Huff in my Tour X both with a visor or with goggles. The Huff has the benefit of also having a chin curtain. Having recently fitted the Arai breath guard, thanks to Laughing Gas pointing out its existence, I got round to thinking about how to fit another chin curtain.

Before I chopped up a perfectly good Huff, I decided to see what else was available. I'd previously fitted a Shoei race breath guard in my Arai Signet so decided to look at what Shoei might have on offer. It was at this point that I discovered the Shoei Whisper Kit which consists of a separate neck curtain and a chin curtain.

With the assistance of my local Shoei dealer, the ever helpful Colin Hart at Forth Gear, I did a test fitting of the Whisper Kit in my Tour X.

You can see the end result below. It's also possible to fit just the chin curtain on its own. I haven't tried this setup on the bike yet but I'll update this post with my impressions when I've done so.
