Looking for armor

I wear a Aerostich Roadcrafter but am wondering about additional impact protection. I see Aerostich offers hip pads and a back brace, and BMW has this. Any comments on what would be good?

The Aerostich hip pads are very large... too large for my use. The hip pads on my R2P were much smaller. I've often thought of making a pocket to put the BMW pads in the 'stich. Smaller pads that I use would be better than large pads that sit in the garage.

I don't use back pads with my 'stich.

BMW's Rallye 2 Pro suit. It's been replaced by the Rallye 3. Good suit, but expensive and not as durable in terms of longevity as Aerostich gear.

I ended up buying the Aerostich hip pads and back brace (not really a brace, more like piece of sheet plastic).
