Default Bickycle Mount For R1200GS

OK dont laugh, has anyone ever made a rack to carry your mountain bike on your R1200GS.

Well checked those out the ADV site......
Was really looking for pictures of those on this site that have attempted a rack!

I have one that works great. My buddy started a company to make bicycle racks for motorcycles. I got my rack this past summer and used it on a 300 mile trip to Fruita. Check out his site:

That is too cool! I have agonized for years about the best way to carry a bicycle on a motorcyle. Should have known that someone would figure it out. When I retire and am able to take more long trips I will definitely check this out. The only drawback I can see it that it looks like you have to remove the stock rear rack.

Default bike rack mod

I've got a bike rack for a car. Figured it could mount on the top box on my GS. As it turns out, the angle for the hangers pivot, but the angle for two legs that set on the back slope of a car don't. The rack pads wouldn't mount the level box, and I wasn't going to set the back leg on the vertical back of the box. I guess with my drill and a couple new bolts the car mount rack could be adequately modified to fit the top box. Just for fun.
