Default What You really need , what You don't

First I shortened the central stand (3cm) 'cause I like using it without breaking my foot. I had to cut them and weld back. Now the bikes "go-on-stand" like my old 1100. Sorry I can't turn it round on the c-stand, thats very practical on parkings.
Made some efficient crash bars!. Wrote about that on some other post.( Touratech or Hepco Becker crash bars?
Then I added an electric socket (3!) for GPS, radio, MP3 (whatever!) near the cockpit - connected directly from battery.
Painted it black (the bike), 'cause the yellow was to YEEEEllow!.
Fixed the BMW signs more secure, not to be stolen.
About stealing... made a switch to block the electric starter, just additionally...
Got myself a cruise-control, took it from my last R1100R (got it from USA), a GPS, and other small gadgets.
You choose what was needed what wasn't...

Default ctr stand

Mazby,

How much did you cut off the center stand? I have a 05 GS that also is very hard to get on the stand. I was thinking about 3/4 inch. Do you remember just how much you cut off? Thanks

Dirtjet.
