Default Power Commander III USB for BMW R1200GS

I've just swapped my '07 GS for an '09 bike and before I get to the suck-it-and-see part, I'm trying to find out if, in theory, I can use the Power Commander which I bought for my '07 bike on my new model.

There are different part no's. for each model -

R1200 GS 2005-2007:- 936-411

R1200 GS 2008:- 949-411

I've e-mailed Dynojet to ask if it's possible to use the earlier model on the new bike but they haven't responded.

I ran a full Remus system on the '07 and my previous '05 bike without any problems but I believe that the '08 onwards bikes may run leaner as stock and fitting a full system can take them into dangerously lean air/fuel ratios.

In that respect, I'm guessing that if it is physically possible to fit the earlier PCIII on the later bike, it's going to be advisable to have a custom map made up on the dyno since there aren't any maps available for download from the web for '08 onwards bikes.

Can anyone advise....?

Dynojet UK have this to say re the two PCIII models available:

The 936-411 and 949-411 power commanders are actually the same unit, however we found the ECU mapping different between the bikes, hence the different part numbers, keeps things simple regarding the map numbering.
