Default Booster Plug Installed

Here's an early report on the Booster Plug I received today...I'll follow up after a few more miles...

First thing I noticed was a quicker warm up, the temp came up quicker than usual but then leveled off 1 tick lower than the usual position running for the same time pre Booster.

I'm running the Akrapovic full race system with a stock air filter, the decel popping WAS pretty severe...the Booster Plug eliminated virtually all of it.

Here's a shot of the temp prob mounting position...

It the temp probe supposed to measure ambient? What you're getting around the steering head is engine heat. I had a thermometer mounted just to the right of the instrument panel. I had to move it as it was 5-10˚ F above ambient.

Default Probe Mounting

The length of the probe wire doesn't leave a bunch of optins for mounting in an area well away from engine heat, I'm all ears if you have a better position for it.

Hmmm, can you snake it toward the back of the bike, maybe around the air box? I wonder if you could put it inside the air intake snorkel? Just guessing.

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of spending four times more money than for the Belgian Accelerator Module? I mean, the Booster Plug claims that their whole idea is to have a probe that precisely measures ambient temperature without being influenced by engine heat. But if the cable is too short to put the probe away from engine heat, what's the deal?

Default Booster Plug

I've had my Booster Plug for several months and put the temp sensor up by the steering head. The heat from the oil cooler passes between the instrument cluster and the ingition key and doesn't get to the sensor. My engine accelerates smoother and, when decellerating, the popping in the muffler is gone.
