Default Stebel Magnum Horn

I realise this one has probably been covered before but I have to say, WOW! I just fitted a Stebel Magnum horn which I bought from Halfords for £9.99 and what a difference. Gone is the feeble factory horn and in its place, something to make other road users (blinkered gits in cars) pay attention

I reused the connection from the factory horn so I didn't have to butcher my wiring harness.

What power draw is it?

Basically does it play well with Canbus?

I like the size/cost vs the improvement as the Nautilus is cool but overkill never mind a PITA for what I want...

2 for $30 bucks on fleabay...

It sits in there like it left the factory. No negative effects on canbus as I used the connector from the original horn. Took about 20 mins from start to finish and that included soldering etc...

Thumbs up

Magnums are a huge improvement over the original tweeter but if your want something that commands real respect, try the Nautilus

The nautilous is definitely the mega horn. I was looking for an improvement the is easier to fit and doesn't require to serious modding. This looks like a good answer. Plus I can do both bikes for less than the cost of 1 nautilous.

Mostly in my world (commuting), I find the horn is too late. I'm already in evasion mode. With cell phones, texting, and general stupidity sometimes it's like roulette.

Is your bike an ESA version?
I wonder if I could install this horn at stock position in 2008 1200GS w/ESA.

Default Stebel - it scares me

I have a stebel and have not fitted it yet, so good to hear it goes with the canbus stuff. My good friend has one on his varadero (suzuki dual sport 1000) and it scares ME when I use it

I agree that evasion usually comes before horn BUT it sure is fun when you get to use it..

can't wait to fit it now....

My bike isn't an ESA version, the Stebel fitted almost exactly in place of the stock horn tho. Not much more of a footprint to speak of.
