Default Crash bar straightening

My crash bar has seen action multiple times and is visibly warped. I could shell out for a new bar, though it doesn't seem that it would be impossible to straighten it out.

Anyone have experience with this? It looks like a problem that can be fixed with a hammer, but perhaps there is a more elegant solution.

To give more detail. The warping is visible where the side bar inserts into the center bar (2008 gsa). I'd like to get it straightened out before I install the Engine Guard Extensions from Adventure Designs.

A press usually works better than a hammer. You can use blocks of wood and fixed structures (like the frame of a truck) plus a jack to simulate a press. Go slowly. There will be some spring back so you'll have to bend a touch more than your desired bend.

Depending on the finish, you could introduce heat to the mix. An oxy acetylene rig would speed up the process no end. Don't do this if the finish is painted rather than chromed tho.

Talk to the frame tech at a good autobody shop. Probably
would do a "pull" on their frame machine for free just cause something new.

Here's example of frame machine stuff:

Default I found a pro to help me out

I went to an auto collision place, but they said they didn't have the equipment to do the work. I then went to a BMW motorcycle dealership, but they could only suggest buying a new part. I searched craigslist and found a company that did fabrication and they referred me to Westbury Motor Cycles. Long story short, Greg did an awesome job getting the crash bar & light bar straightened. I'll definitely call Westbury again in the future if needed.

Thanks for all of your recommendations.

Thanks for the feedback. I looked at Westbury web site. Wow! they
are class. I was interested where they were located and googled
their zip code and hey...California and my old stomping grounds many years ago
where I worked some construction near Mt Diablo and Walnut Creek. Bike of
choice then was a German 1958 NSU.
