Default Paralever Bearings - PU Bushes?

Hi everyone, are Polyurethane Bushes a worthwhile fit in the paralever to replace the needle rollers that get hammered?
Thanks Peter

Do they get hammered on an R1200GS? All the replacements I've ever read about were for the older version of the FD and swing-arm.

Default Paralever Bearings - PU Bushes?

Hi Peter,
I think you are referring to the swing arm bearings, they reside at the front of the drive shaft on right and left side of the bike.
The original bearings are BMW and only available from BMW.
A standard 6203 bearing has the same load specifications but are 1mm narrower. I replaced original BMW ones with 6203s and a 1mm circlip on the inner side of each bearing. That was 30,000 kms ago ! So far no drama.
Down under, NSW prices for OEM were $183.00 each. 6203s and circlips all up less than $20.00.
And they are easy to replace !

Graham.
