Default LCD bad contact

(Speaking of a R 1200 GS 2005)

Hello everybody, I'm with two problems, and suddenly someone can give me a light.

My LCD panel is with a bad contact, sometimes the eight left without a leg, a line that was already here do not know where it appears, disappears, reappears. Anyone have an idea what might be?

And again, when I'm between 90 and 130 km \ h appears Uooooo a noise. bearing type (should be right) and the handlebars vibrate a bit (is it the front) and it 's annoying me. I have not had time yet to get to see. Any ideas? My bike is a 2005 GS with 54000km. The revisions were made to the 50,000 (really?)

Hugs and thanks

Amithai

The instrument cluster is supposedly a sealed unit. That means BMW will only replace it in its entirety and I'd guess it is expensive. That said, I'm pretty sure I've seen pictures on the web were someone opened one up to fix a similar issue. Maybe you can google the procedure.

Noise and handlebar vibrations can sometimes come from tires and wheels? How's your tire? Your rim? Your wheel bearings? The front of my bike got very noise last tire change. The tire I'm currently using howls as I go down the road.

My tire is very bad, did not know that tire made so kind of noise. Several people have told me that might be the tire. Hope so. The bike in this workshop in order to make the necessary checks.

The panel is not sealed very well, he has screws and a gasket. But obviously not sold unmounted. And it costs one thousand U.S. dollars. Any event post here. Thanks

I used a contact cleaner inside the panel and apparently the problem is gone. I hope. Thanks

ok, the problem was back but I friend of mine , a eletric engineer, fixes the connector , put something inside to make a pressure firmly and some glue and itīs working again.

The problem is the flat connector.
