Default Brakes again - With Photos

I purchased this bike used from the dealer in Tucson. Love it! However, after 6K miles I did my first Oil change only to discover the Skid Plate was apparently ripped from the bike at some point. Now that its time for rear brakes, this is what i discovered! The Radial Center Line of the Pads is NOT the same Radial Center Line of the Rotor.

There is apparently no adjustment for this, the Calipers remove and replace with no binding, but, after replacing the Pads, and 300 miles, the wheel feels very tight to turn. Plus, during slow speeds I think I can hear brake noise.

The reason for mentioning buying the bike used, I'm starting to suspect accident damage.

Your thoughts?

I'd guess from looking at that bottom picture that the brake caliper is tweaked. A new caliper somewhere around $300~350. But before spending money I'd try to compare yours to a known good unit.

Default tweeked?

Not sure how that could even be possible. None the less, here is an additional photo from the front to show the bolts are in place, everything else appears to be normal.

The part of the caliper that the screws are attached to looks like this:

I was thinking that it might be possible to tweak that part so that it still mounts on the bike and the rest of the caliper still slides in it pins. Now that I look closer I'm not sure that is possible.

It was just a guess.

www.snafu.org/pics/r1200gs/ is my "r1200gs" blog. I've documented most of the farkles I added to the bike. For the last 3 or 4 years or so I started documenting maintenance, too. That picture came from my 60K service when I did a full brake bleed and rear caliper cleaning.

Not everything is on the web page. My photo archive currently contains about 1100 images tagged GS. That included pictures taken on various rides that happen to include the GS. I've about 2200 images tagged R69S. I've had that bike much longer.

Edit: what I looked for but didn't find was a picture from the bike's left side with the wheel off and the caliper on. Apparently I've never taken one of those.
