Default Wiring up the tankbag?

I'm going to be installing a new Wolfman Rainier tank bag on my '06 GS this afternoon and my plan is to be able to have my iphone and other gadgets inside the bag and available for charging.

Is the drill just to punch a hole in the bag somewhere and run the wires in? Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

You probably want something on this page: Luggage Electrix - Powerlet Products

Maybe this item to bring power into to the tank bag: Luggage Electrix Connector - Powerlet Products

and this to bring power from the battery to the bag: Heavy Duty SAE Battery Lead 48" - Powerlet Products

Thumbs up

I have installed the parts that Marc have mention, on my BMW tank bag for the phone and one of my side case so that I can charge my laptop, it works great! Powerlet has all kinds of different set that you can get, and I had good service from them!

+1 on the powerlet kits - you can buy exactly what you need and with the sae connectors you can easily change your configuration to suit various needs.
To make the hole in the tankbag, as well as the smaller screw holes around it for the kit, it was very useful to use a soldering iron so that the edges were clean and not frayed (but careful where you point that thing ! unwanted holes are a bummer).

Oh yeah, Powerlet is just the ticket. That's what I had in mind. Now all I have to do is follow the tutorial on bringing a power outlet to the front of the GS. Thanks for info.
