I've recently purchased a 2007 1200 GS. In the display, the last digit of the kilometers done the right part of the last digit is not displaying. see picture
Has anyone seen this problem and was able to fix this or has any decent ideas to tackle this problem? The bike is out of warranty, so a repair of the existing instrument unit is preferred. Thanks for your ideas. |

Somewhere there is a recent forum post where a guy was trying to
switch KM to MPH or visa-versa. As I recall he finally got to a dealer who did a software update and solved his problem. I think he said it took about 15 minutes total. I'm not sure but I think the odometer gets info from ABS wheel sensors so maybe clean and inspect might help. Haynes service manual says instrument cluster is a sealed unit and points you to your local dealer for diagnostic stuff. Last edited by pdxrmccgs; 07-Aug-2011 at 05:56 PM (955). |
