gearbox capacity

Hi, first post and I did search.

I have a 2011 GS ADV with the Enduro transmission.

I have read the fill capacity to be to the threads on the fill plug which was about 900 ml on mine, I have read 800 ml and even someone posted on another site 700 ml for the Enduro.

Does anyone have the official answer?

I don't think the spec has changed. It is to the bottom edge of thread of filler screw which is about 0.9 l of Hypoid-gear lubricant SAE 90 API GL 5.

I have a 2004 owner's manual which states 800 ml for it. If I fill to the threads it is 900 ml

I don't know why it is not published in the new manuals and why it is such a secret. I do not have a reprom so that is probably where it would be.

That takes it just to the threads. No problems so far.

I wish I had my 2005 owner's manual back. The new replacement I bought is pretty much useless for more than headlights and engine oil. I guess you're supposed to take it to the dealer for anything more?
