Motor Rattle

I purchased my 2005 r1200gs with just under 30,000 miles and am not really familiar with what these motors are supposed to sound like.
when i am riding slow in say 1st gear and decelerate I hear a very slight rattle.
it is never under load and only when letting off the throttle.
other than that the motor seems to sound great.

At about what RPM? All the time or only when the engine is hot... or cold?

I seem to notice it more in the lower rpms say below 3000. it doesnt change hot or cold, i was wondering if it could be carbon build up?
