cree spotlamps

Has anyone fitted these Cree spotlamps, the state they need no additional switches and come on with the ignition when connected to the battery:

I looked at the website. It mentions wiring ina control box. Although it does not spell it out, I suspect it monitors the voltage or ampage.

I would rather skip the control box then:
a) wire the lights to a switched circuit with the key
b) a seprate switch and wire to the battery
c) or, wire it to a switched circuit with key and a switch.

The instructions did break out which wire does what. In the worse case you could wire with a switched circuit and the control box.
