Default Side Stand switch lateral free play

This is the picture of the back side of side stand switch. There is a gap between the circlip and the washer. The whole side stand switch can also move from side to side along its axle with this gap as a free play.
Is this normal or did it loss anything?

I am not sure if that is normal but I can tell you my GS does exactly the same, I have only noticed this in recent days, I load up the bike like a donkey for a bit trip and I nearly torn apart all the muscles of my back trying to pick the bike up from the side stand a few times I parked it on a slight slope.
Then I noticed it was perhaps leaning a bit too much. But then again, perhaps that was always the case and I never noticed it before.

I was concerned about the angle the bike would sit on the side stand and aftr some research I came up with this solution from Nippy Normans
NIPPY SIDESTAND EXTENDER R1200GS/Adv (2006 on including 2010 on bikes) (GRP-SSE126GS) - Nippy Normans
