Default Wunderlich vs. Touratech

Now that I've got my '05 R12 farkled, the Wunderlich catalog shows up. It's chockfull of goodies from body bits, windscreen options, suspension parts, luggage, etc. - all really nice looking kit.

Where was this stuff when I bought all of my Touratech kit? It would have been nice to have had more of a choice.

I got my Wunderlich catalog a week or two ago myself. It sure is nice to own a bike for which there are so many aftermarket accessories. Particularly for a market as small as the BMW-GS series.

I've had the Wunderlich "lifting handle" on my GS for a couple years. I could hardly get it on the centerstand without it, particularly if I had full luggage mounted. Now it's a piece of cake...

Thumbs up

I've ordered a lot of stuff from Wunderlich; complete replacement of the exhaust by Remus, handlebar risers, led taillight, white turnsignal covers etc. Never any problems with deliveries and good quality stuff. I can strongly recommend!

BMW of Santa Cruz County is fairly local to me, and they're the US importer for Wunderlich. Seems every time I stop by for a look see it costs me a hunderd bucks or so for the latest Wunderlich goodies. Last time it was 90° valve stems to replace the factory straight jobbies. And now I've convinced myself that not only does the 12 need them, but both sets of wheels for the 100, too. Bill, Mark and the gang at BMWSCC are great to deal with, too. They're all riders (Bill and Mark on 12GSs) and that makes all the difference. Take my advise and avoid this catalog like the plague!

speaking of farkles, when I was at the BMW Vermont rally in July some folks were selling a clear plastic headlight guard but the mounting bracket was very special. It was aluminum with the large letters GS carved out of it. Looked cool and I want one. But I can't figure out who makes it. Anyone know?
