Default A different saddle question

I am looking at the different replacement saddle options. I think either the Russell or the Sargent would be good seats, although I am concerned about the Russell being too wide, especially if standing on the pegs.

However, my question is which is the better option for my passenger? With the stock pillion, her legs are in a very comfortable position...the stock seat is just a little too hard and too narrow. In looking at the pictures, it looks like the Russell would be too wide and would rub on the back of her legs.

Does anyone have comments on Sargent versus Russell for a passenger?

By the way, we will have to mail order since we do not live close to a custom seat maker. Also, we do not ride cross country, but 2-3 hours on pavement is common.

Cant speak to the russell or sergant, I went this route with both my front and passenger,

Wife likes the back seat even better now. Looks the same, just feels better. If you are looking for a bit wider, this may not work, but he may be able to reshape if you tell him where to add.

As for front, with an Alaska butt pad on it, 4 or 5 hours max was it for me. Now with his mode and a butt pad, have gone for 16 plus with no problems

Default Seat Recommendation

I've got a Rich's seat(front&rear), my wife is quite comfy on it & it's a quantum leap in comfort for both of us.
Rich's is located in Seattle, the seats are custom made to your butt, so you'd have to go there for the fitting, an inconvenience but the results are well worth it !

I bought a set of Sargent seats a few months ago. After an initial bedding-in period, I love the front. The rear hasn't had the same use, tho' my wife reckons it is more comfortable on a long run compared to the stock seat. One down side she says is that she feels that the Sargent spreads her legs a little further apart than she'd like, but reckons it's just a matter of getting used to it. Another point I've found in its favour is that when I was carrying a pillion with the oe seats, the pillion always seemed to make me push forward uncomfortably. With the Sargents, this doesn't happen at all.

I have a Russell on my RT
Perfect Comfort all day best saddle by far
I bought the Sargent seats for my GSA because I needs them for a big trip and couldn't send in my stock seats (while breaking I'm)
I also was concerned with the additional height the Russell adds (albeit at great comfort)
Thought I could return if I didn't like
Turns out we really like
Wife says the passenger seat is as good or better than her Russell
My driver seat is not as good as a Russell (nothing is), but it is more than acceptable. I like the looks and no need for rain cover
It is way better than stock which I could not stand for more than a short trip
Highly recommend the Sargent seats
Russell if you have to have the best
