Default Passenger backrest/case

Just bought a GS....wow....love it. I need to get a backrest/case for my wife. Any recommendations for comfort & functionality? Standard 1200 GS, not an Adventure.

Much thx.....

Default Bestrest

I have a Bestrest classic 2. I picked it because I could leave it mounted to the bike, and still fold it down out of the way. The mounting plate and kit was over $200 from Bestrest, so I made my own mount out of aluminum plate...total cost including paint and stainless fasteners $25. My wife likes it in the lowest position.

Default the OEM top case

has an option for back rest pads. My daughter says it's the best back seat she has ever had.

So you get the storage and the back rest. Works for me.

The Vario case can be fitted with an optional backrest pad.

My wife tells me it doesn't work very well on my bike because of the Sargent seat.

Mrs Bear has done well over 10000 miles leant against a Vario box and BMW backrest whilst sat on the standard seat.
