Vario Top Box with Jesses?

Does anyone know if that rear bracket for the Jesses will coexist with the rear bracket for a Vario top box?

I have the early style Odyssey.

This is the bracket I'm concerned about (courtesy Gunsmoke.com). Note the aft loop that goes over the tail lamp.

From this angle, it will foul the angled stays of the Vario base bracket.
The Aft bracket needs to rotate toward the rear slightly.
