Default R1200GS Luggage

I'm looking for suggestions on luggage for a 2008 R1200GS standard. I'm currently looking at purchasing the BMW Aluminum Saddlebags (w/mounts for GS standard) and then adding the Givi Maxia E55 top case. My concern is that the top case is too large and will not allow access to the saddlebags. Has anyone tried this combination of luggage before?

Thank you in advance.

Default Varios are nice...

I am moving on to Micatech side cases, so I have a perfect set of Vario side cases for sale. Let me know if you're interested...

I went with the Touratech 35/41 cases. I've had the Jesse cases before and never could get them adjusted properly so the exhaust wouldn't rub. I also hated that I had to relocate the turn signals and the fact they were never watertight.

The Mica cases just never appealed to me visually, and the Varios came off the bike as soon as I got home. I would have the OEM Adventure cases in a heartbeat over the Touratech if they weren't twice the price for the boxes, locks, racks and hardware.

Maybe the link worked when he first posted it nearly 2 years ago. The Odyssey II is made by Jesse Luggage. See Jesse Luggage Systems - R1200GS/Adventure for pics.
