Question difficulty putting the side bags on my new R1200GS

I purchased a new R1200GS late last year and bought the stock BMW side bags and top box. I took off the side bags when I got the brand new bike home from the dealer late last year, and now can't seem to put them on correctly. Any tips? It looks like it should be easy but I must be stupider than I thought....
Any suggestions much appreciated.
Thanks -

Mine were tough too. I had to back out the adjustment on the attachment point so the mushroom head stuck out further and went further into the bag mounting point.

Hope this helps.

Yup, you'll need to adjust the bolt out a little more.

Steve + Kurt - Thank you both for the response. I tried what you suggested and it worked great. Problem handled.

Again, many thanks -

Once you get the mushroom bolt where you want it, you might apply a little dab of blue loctite to it. They tend to creep around a bit.
