I bought a helmet lock from dealer for previous year and mounted it.
BMW part number
51252313472
Looks like the cost is $37 and change plus the cost of lock cylinder.
You will need to buy the lock cylinder, the dealer can key it for your key.

Default lOCK

Thanks for the info !

Did you put the lock on your self ? Did it fit ok ?

Does it come with a key or did you have it re-keyed at the shop ?

Thanks Scott

You have to buy the lock cylinder separate, but the dealer will key it for you. I installed it myself.

Does it bolt right on or do you have to make a clamp ?

Thanks Scott

There is a brace that has two holes in it that are almost a perfect fit for mounting the lock. You will need to open up one of the holes to take an M6 screw and you will need a lock nut for the back side.
Regards,
Richard

Good Luck with your project Scott. I put one on mine because I got tired of my helmet falling off my motorbike, got tired of having to take the front seat off to lock my helmet.
Regards,
Richard

Has anybody tried one of these on a GS? And if so what is your opinion.

Even if you have not used or seen these before which one do you might think might be better. I need the ability to lock up two helmets.
