Default Forward mount for top case

Hello all, I am an experienced rider, (new to this forum) having owned many bikes, but the 2006 R1200GS is my first BMW bike. I purchased the top BMW case with the forward mount, no instructions on how to attach the mount onto the bike. Anyone have instructions, site, pdf,? Thanks

If you bought the kit, you must first remove the silver rack from the bike, then the large black triangular plate from the rack. The kit pieces now install on the black triangular plate to create a latch system to fasten it to where the pillion seat was.

If your go back and forth frequently, it is easier to order a second large black plate and modify it. Rather than remove the one from the silver rack and have to re-attach it to go back and forth. Of course that is more $$.

Here's a picture of the mount plate in place:

you also have to fiddle with some spacers on the plate where the rear 2 screws are in the photo.
I alternate between forward mount and rack mount, depending on how much my daughter pesters me to double her, I really like the forward mount for handle, feeling, and strength (Have heard of a few broken rack extensions, especially with a carton of beer in the topbox), but you can get more gear on with the rack mount, so for hard, rough fire-trail riding I use forward mount, otherwise rack mount.
