Default Penny tech shock socks

Not the best first post, I know...

I have 2mm neoprene (the kind used in wet suits) and wonder if they can be used for both fork and shock socks / guards for a 12GS. I'm heading to Alaska in a month and would like to protect the forks and shocks from dust, mud, and more.

Since the neoprene is waterproof and not breathable, will the forks/shocks overheat?? Any other concerns that suggest this is not a good idea? Any thread my research missed?

Thanks for your thoughts. Jacpod

Sounds like a fine idea to me. Various companies make shock absorber boots out of neoprene so I would think overheating isn't an issue.

you could also try dirt skins

I bought two of the mono shocks one for back one for front and then a pair of the stachion tube protectors. They are brilliant of the mechanoc commented on how clean it kept everything.
