On my first BMW, I installed the factory auxillary brake light. Then I saw Hyperlights and liked them better as they were more visable. I was in Colorado last summer and managed to meet some local riders who were kind enough to let me tag along. As we covered the miles, I realized they all had a different type of auxillary brake lights than I had seen. They seemed to "flicker" a little bit. It was almost imperceptible but just enough to catch your attention. They were P-3 lights from Skene Designs. I got a set and the installation was very easy. When I got my GSA, they were the second farkle I added. Check them out: http://www.lights.skenedesign.com/

I just got done taking them off my old bike and putting them on my new GS. I love them. I have the "+" version that also acts as a voltmeter which is a nice feature.
While expensive up front, considering you can keep them indefinitely by moving them on to the next bike, they really are a cost-effective safety light. Highly recommended |
