Default Touratech or Hepco Becker crash bars.Valve cover Guards as well?

Ultimately I would like to fit decent Valve cover guards AND crash bars, but can't come to a decision.
I realise that having both will definitely entail full removal for Valve clearance services, but this doesn't worry me.
The Touratech bars allow fitting Touratech Vave cover guards, but I prefer the BMW accessory guard as it offers more surface area protection.I imagine they're pretty thin though?
Photo's are hard to judge by; but it looks like the Touratech crash bar MIGHT be more prone to catching undergrowth, sticks etc. than the Hepco Becker item, which LOOKS more integrated.
I might be paranoid about damaging the valve covers and am not sure how popular it is fitting both crash bars and valve cover guards.
While I want the protection to look good and not stick out a sore thumb, I also want it to do the job.
Anybody care to comment? I'm all ears.

Default H&B bars

I have head guards (black BMW) and H&B crash guards on my R1200GS.
The H&B crash guards do not have to be removed to do a valve adjustment.

Lightbulb Crash bars & Valve covers

I had the same worries about damaging the valve covers. I have Touratech valve covers and Motech crash bars.

The Motech bars leave enough room for the covers and wrap around the heads and I think give more protection than the BMW bars.

I off-road mine and only dig the scenery when I'm deep in a rut, or I fall off of course.

Default

I've seen first hand the valve cover and then some "tear off" by a tree at the xplor event in the pine barrens. Before that I thought the cylinders were invinceable.
