Stebel horn question

This may sound dumb (and may actually BE dumb): with an "authoritative" horn like the Stebel, can you still just get a little beep (like you would use when behind someone who hasn't figured out that the light turned green), or will it always go to full "HONK" mode?

A quick flick will give a toot, but hold it on, and it will certainly wake them up.

Full noise is quiet loud, but a short stab is usually enough.

For my ham-sized hands a quick flick gives more of a TOOT, but it's definitely less than a full blast
