Default Problem with replacing the bash plate.

Anyone out there able to tell me how to remove the two rear rubber-block mounted bolts to fit the Touratech bash plate I've just bought?
The instructions say to just remove them but to take care not to shear them off whilst trying to do so.
I've tried a deep drive socket, a ring spanner, even small stillsons, but they just want to twist.
Anymore force applied will surely shear the rubber, rendering me unable to re-install the original plate or fit the new item.

Default Bash Plate

You just need to use a little force. Yes, the rubber will twist but unless someone has overtightened the nuts you should not have any problems. You need a 13mm socket and perhaps some WD40 if necessary. Hope that helps.
