Default Gerbings won't work

I have a 2005 gs and just purchased Gerbings jacket liner. The accessory plug will not power the jacket liner. I hear there is a firmware update that could give my power plug more juice. Anyone?

Default Nope

The latest firmware will not increase the allowable output from the accessory outlet. The easiest way to run your Gerbing heated equiptment is to pay Powerlet $29 for their adapter which runs the stock accessory outlet direct from the battery. Works as advertised, just takes the canbus out of the picture

thanks, I have a centech and I can connect the power outlet directly to it. I have a wire harness connected to it now and works fine, but I want the install to look cleaner.

The powerlet adapter mentioned replaces the stock accessory jack. It looks stock. How can it get cleaner than that?

I use a small fused pigtail going to the battery that hides between the saddle and the black plastic cover on the left side when not in use. You have to look for it to see it.
