Default How long does your back tyre last?

I'm running an Avon Distanzia, so far it's done 7000 miles and I think I'll get another 2000 miles out of it.

What are you using and how far do you go before changing?

Thumbs up

17000 kilometers on a rear tourance, including 12800 kilometers to the Moa rally and home . Never felt it slip [ on pavement ] it's a good tire for my money.

Default Tourance & Tourance EXP

On my side, the Tourance & Tourance EXP work like a charms.

I bought the bike second hand and the original Tourance last long but I can't tell how many kilometers exactly. So far, I can tell 15'000km but not sure.

However, because I went for a long trip I changed both front and rear tires and choose Tourance EXP.

So far, both tires last 20'000 kilometers and they, regarding to the profile, could be able to last another 4'000 kilometers.

I drastically used the tired cause I was riding with 1bar on each for about 3000 kilometers. (Bad roads, good roads etc etc...)

Regards

I've had three GSes to date, running Bridgestone Trailwing, Metzler Tourance, Dunlop D607 and Continental Trail Attack. None of these has ever made it to 5K miles.

We do have quite abrasive and grippy roads here in Scotland. Nevertheless I'm amazed at the high mileages that some people get from their rubber.

First set was BW 501/502: both 13.295km - 8.263mls
2nd: Conti TA

The TA is the current front tire with 15.660km/9.733mls.
The rear tire I changed with round about 10.000km/6.215mls because I ordered the brand new Conti RA2. I guess 1.500-2.000km mor had been possible but I was curious about the new one

But please consider that the lifetime of a tire depends on the individual driving style and also on the road texture.

I read this from a German living in Scotland and I saw it in Czech Rep. and in Alsace were the roads are also very grippy and it costs a lot of the rear tire and so Im surprised that the front tire lives on.

But you have a very save driving!

We have a lot spots with bitumen and gravel and on ankown roads you have always to drive carefully
