Bike magazine in the UK have just done a tyre test on the GS. It says the best tyre for track & road is the new Conti Attack. (personally have Pilot Roads which are v good)

I'll know soon enough: I have a pair on order. The Tourances last real well (over 7 000 and counting), but I want a pure street tire.

I'm going with the Conti's as soon as my Tourances wear out.

I have the conti road attacks on my HP2 street rims. They are fantastic...before the HP2 I had a K1 and a KRs, the HP2 with these tires can easily keep up with the K bikes and in fact it is way more agile because of the lighter weight. The tires are awesome. Can't say how long they will last, but with this much fun who cares ;-)

I can tell you that the Sport Attacks on an R12S are a very good combination and excessive wear is not an issue for us.

Default Just got delivery Conti Trail Attacks fitted

Guys
I've just taken delivery of my new 08 GS and it is great - newbie to the GS family after having sports bikes - my last a Ducati 999s. The GS came fitted standard with the Conti Trail Attacks I have just completed 1300km of road and they are great...problem is nothing to compare them to in my case being new to these bikes. Havnt been off raod so not sure what to expect there? Any advice...will be in the dry being in Queensland Australia. But really like the grip and feel on road combined with the new ESA, traction and the bike off course!
Cheers

Default Conti trail attack

You guys stay away from these tyres, I have never seen something worse. I have my Adv two years now, avout 25 th. km, and changed 3 sets of tyres. 2 anakees and one tkc twinduro. I was thinking to try something new, the trail attack, which came out last year. Eversince I put them trouble didn't stop; I thought something wrong with the bike chaged all connecting parts in the front except the forks, including new set of wheels. Same problem, these tyres are a nightmare. Stick to the Anakee.
