Default Nitrogen: Anyone filling their tires with it?

Hello,

Just wondering, if filling my tires with Nitrogen is worth it?

Default Nitrogen

Mate. Only if it's free

I ride on different surfaces, and with different loads, so I am always altering my tyre pressures’, so for me there is no point.

If you understand the reasons why Nitrogen is used, I am not sure the benefit in road bikes is worth paying for.

Default nitrogen

if not altering tire pressures on a regular basis, its well worth it,
1 has a lower or slower leakage rate
2 cooler temps
3 doesn't absorb moisture
bought a 80cu foot bottle with regulator from local welding supply added 10 ft.hose, use it on cars, airplane, and five bikes, needs to be refilled about twice a year at 20 bucks a pop

Keeping in mind that the air you put in a bike tyre is already about 80% nitrogen anyway.

+1

I've read reports by race drivers who state the the greatest benefit is to the sales people who sell it. As stated above you already have 80% nitrogen in air. FURPHY!! Save your money and put it towards better rubber, (or a charity)

Saturn 5... saving his nitrogen dollars
