My GS came with Tourance EXP's and now the rear is worn out at about 6k. The shop only has the regular Tourance. Will a Tourance EXP front tire and a Tourance rear tire screw up my handling? He says if I bring the rim in it would be $164 mounted and balanced. This seems like a really good deal.

No problems mixing them up.
6k i presume thats miles?, that's about what i got from the EXP (10,000KM) They both have the same load and speed index, just a slightly different tread pattern. The "green" tyre, the casing if you like, is exactly the same. I got better mileage from the original Tourance, (12000km) than from the Exp. The price is nothing special though, but i guess it all depends on where you live. I have just switched to Michelin's just to see what the difference is. 1000 km on, and they have a far better feel to them, but time will tell on the distance they can go. AUST $449 ($480 US) Mix any brands you like on the front and rear, as long as they are radial, and have a similar speed index, and load index, all should be OK.

I have run the tourance front with Heidenau K60 Scout rear with no problems either.
You will have no problem running that combination, in fact the tourance will last longer than the EXP. Richard
