Hey,
Anyone find or know of a reliable source for used, re-built etc. spoked wheels for an '05, R12GS. Mine came with cast wheels which are OK, but I'd like to put a set of TKCs on a second set of wheels, for rougher, off-pavement jaunts. Thanks for any feedback. Barry Lake Oswego, Oregon |

Hi Barry.
I searched for nearly a year to get some. I was lucky and met a guy who was selling set c/w with TKC's at a bike meet. eBay.co.uk over here is quite good for them and recently more and more have become available, I guess eBay.com would be worth a bash. Good luck, they're well worth it for off-roading. Cheers,

The other option is to get a set of custom spoked wheels laced up to your requirements.
Woody's Wheel Works seems to be the place for this.... http://www.woodyswheelworks.com/bmw.shtml

Gents:
Thanks for the feedback/ideas. I am now on the "list" at Woody's for a used set and I am watching ebay. On another note, I had a fine 200 mile ride today in the Columbia River Gorge, on backroads, following a K1200S, which sounds like a jet.Later. Barry |

Have talked to Chris at Woody's & he is the man.
Nothing but good comes from that company for my money. Their turn around time is better that many others too. If you are passing thru the Denver area you can set of an apt for work to be done ahead of time. Good folks. |
