I was in same boat but I'm in Melbourne. Joined the BMW club and they are now organising GS rides due to the number in the club. Its a starting point if nothing else!

Hey there,
Thanks for the info. I will look at the BMW clubs up here. I actually just got back from a 12 day trip. Sydney to melb via the coast. Then over to Tasmania on the Spirit of Tasmania, 6 days riding through Tassie is heaven. A must for any motorcyclist!! Then back to melbourne, and then Sydney via the Snowies. Cant wait to get away again!! I lived in melbourne for 12 years, Vic is a great sate for riding I think. The problem in Sydney (I find) is you have to travel quite a distance for any descent roads, in melbourne I was out amongst it in no time. My fave ride was to king lake (various routes) then out to Yea (again various routes) and back through black spur etc. Great stuff.

Hi There... new to this forum so pardon if I stuff things up. Have new 07 GSA and live in Southern Sydney. Yep I'm keen for a small group to go riding with from time to time. Mostly my misses wants to come along (pillion)...I cant get her off the new bike! We have just done 3 days down to Braidwood and the to Moruya. All went well untill the dreaded EWS startup problem while in Batemans Bay. Hope to get the bike back from Canberra dealer next week...

Yeah, I am in Southern Sydney as well. Pretty much in the same boat as you. My wife is a permanant fixture on the back of the GS. We get away whenever we can and head in any direction. I have a few friends in Sydney who ride with other groups and we sometimes join them. I also have some friends in melbourne and we sometimes meet in Bega when one of them is riding to Sydney and vica versa. So yeah, lets hook up for a ride at some point. I have also sent away my membership for the BMW touring club of NSW. There is actually a ride organised for this Sunday, dont know by who but my mate told me about it. All I know is its an 8.30 meet at Windsor. We will probably meet him somewhere and then ride out to Windsor. If your interested maybe we could meet somewhere south. (If your bike is back) I may be going for a solo ride (without the missus) on Friday as well, Probably just through the national Park for brekky in Austinmer.
