TPMS After service
Yes, wellllll, the big pig is sitting on 870 kms so I decided to take it for the 1000km service early and to have the anti theft doohickey fitted. Picked the bike up this morning. Lo and behold, the TPMS throws an error and neither of the tires show any pressure. The service rep then tries to convince me it is a pre-existing condition from having the tires changed (this was done 2 weeks ago and the TPMS has been working fine since then).
He looked slightly surprised when I told him I check the bike weekly for fault codes with the GS911. "Oh, you have a diagnostic system?" After that I was told they do not have the tools to reset the sensors but will be receiving it next week.
I wrote an email to their management and got a reply back fairly quickly. Apologies all around and could I pop in on Sunday to have the sensors reset, they are downloading some software upgrades for their tools.
My point is that the replies went from:
1. It's your fault.
to
2. We don't have the tools.
to
3. We have the tools and are upgrading the software.
Not very trust inspiring. The germans will turn over in their graves if they hear of the shenanigans their elected representatives gets up to in Qatar.
