I use the Chrome browser.
I drag the jpg picture file and drop it.
It's there for a couple seconds and then is gone.
I hadn't thought about browser compatibility.
I'll try the Windows browser.

I'm on my Windows browser now.
I dropped the small jpg picture file and the Upload Progress bar goes a little over 3/4 of the way very quickly and then disappears as does the picture.

I can drag and drop with Chrome on other motorcycle sites with no problem.

I'd like to become more involved on this 1200GS specific site.
Easily posting pics would be great.
Right now I have to upload a pic to Photobucket, then go to my album, find the pic and copy a link to be pasted on a post or a reply.
Not that it's that big of deal, but when I found out about drag and drop, I liked using it a lot.

I just made a screen shot which is a 68K jpeg image which is under the 97.7K limit. I'm going to drag it to the "Drag and Drop File Upload" portion of this form using the latest version of Safari on a Mac.

When I hold the image over the drop area I see a preview, but letting go of the mouse causes the preview to go away. I'll try again using the attachment paper clip icon...

I can selecte the file, but when I hit the "upload" button I get this error: File system directory is not writable.

I think this is a configuration issue. Either file permissions are wrong or the system is attempting to upload to an incorrect directory.

Yes but it's a better and much less error prone way to post images.

Glad this forum is free

I can post pics without problems on the K1600 Forum, yet on this one they never go thru. So it's something that really needs to be fixed here, so users can post pics that may be beneficial to others.

Hi guys,

I've bumped up the max file size which should prevent some of these errors. I think some of these images are giving issues because of how large they are. Give this a shot and let us know if it works better.

Still not working, at least from the mobile site.

In the past I made the file size extremely small and well under the posted limit and it still did not work correctly. So I'm not sure that was the problem

What sections are you noticing the drag and drop function not working? This is a section specific permission so it could work in the New Members section, for example, but not work in the For Sale section.
