Does anyone use another oil filter besides the BMW filter.I do not have ready access to a BMW dealer so I am looking for something else.I know that Mann makes the MW75 but no one sells them where I live also.Any names and numbers??

The only ones I know of that people have used with good results are the Mann filters you mentioned. A 4 pack will cost you about $50 from http://www.beemerboneyard.com/114276735414p.html

This may be what I buy next as the dealer filters have gone from $10 to almost $17 in the last 3 or 4 years.

GEES! you guys have it easy, just paid $ 29 Australian for genuine one, that makes it about $ 26.80 currently in US Dollars.
Only had the bike 53 weeks and did my own changes. will be looking elsewhere so long as it doesn't cause a warranty issue!

Default Fram or K & N

My bike has a filter for an R1100/1150 on it. The previous owner said the only difference was the external can.

If you have a Cycle Gear nearby they stock K & N and the Fram motorcycle oil filters for Beemers. Unlike a typical Fram filter, the motorcycle line are quite good filters.
