I have just completed trying out a number of different seat options for my 08 GS which I have owned about 6 months.
It came with the stock seat which is extremely uncomfortable. It also came with a custom Russel Day Long seat which was very comfortable for long runs, but does not look too great with the winglets. I generally do not ride more than 250 miles a day, so I decided to sell the RDL front and rear seat set. In my research it seems that most who have the RDL like it a lot. I tried a wunderlich, but did not find that much better than the stock, so it was sold. I currently have a Bill Meyer custom seat which I purchased used and I think it is my favorite. It's good for 250 miles and looks good on the bike. I also recently purchased a used heated Sargent seat which I will probably use for the winter riding in NJ. A lot of people seem to like the sargent, but for me I still prefer the Bill Meyer out of all the seat I have tried. I have put corbin seats on just about every bike I have owned, but I have not tried it on the GS. A factor in seat selection is ride height as the GS/A is quite tall.
