Adding upper crash bars

Thinking about adding some upper crash protection. Has anyone used these bars....SW-MOTECH Upper Crash Bars BMW R1200GS 2014-2016 - RevZilla

I would be adding them to a 2016 GS, already have BMW lowers...does anyone know which finish matches the BMW lower bars...silver or stainless?

"Stainless steel finish matches the original crash guard for the BMW R1200GS."

I have the BMW lowers and Touratech uppers, the BMW lowers are junk so I can at least attest that the SW-Motech are better than those, IMHO these are probably the most robust bars you can get short of the Alt Riders.

Thanks. I'll check out Touratech's also.

Thats all i use

I have had full, upper, and lower S.W.Motech bars on all 4 of my GS bikes.
Strong enough to take the bumps, and not over expensive.

I mount my Clearwater driving lights on the lower ones.

I didn't mean to make it sound like the Touratech bars are any good, I believe that they make the OEM BMW bars.
I would go with the SW-Mo's if it were me.
