Default GSA two up

I'm looking into getting a GS or GSA, I would really like GSA, my only worry is the height of the seat. I'm 5'9, 170LB, and most of the riding is done two up.

I know I didnt share much info, but what is your opinion?

My opinion is that you're lost and have stumbled into the wrong forum.

This is particularly ironic since you're in the GPS info forum...

Bah - spoilsport.....

It's good for people to be lost - they then have to find their way....

From your stats it is certainly an issue. Some guys are O.K. with
tippy-toe and butt slide at stop lights etc and some rather not.
I think 2-up it would be pretty sporty.

To "A" or not is frequent subject of debate as the "A" is damn
cool looking. Last stat I saw GS outsells GSA by 2 or 3 to 1.

Some guys say make your decision on majority off road use or not.

They are both fantastic.

Archive thread 1002 May 2010 for same issue..good luck

Default GSA two up

My wife and I have a GSA - I am about 6 feet tall and still had a bit of a stretch to the ground. So I have the lower seat and I only run the suspension on the high settings when we a fairly well loaded which brings the bike back to a workable level.

I have friend who is about 5 feet three and rides an F800gs - can't put both feet on the ground - but where there is a will, there is a way.

We love the GSA - mainly the fuel range and the better windscreen -

cheers
